More Than a Coffee Shop
Anonymous Coffee is a specialty coffee shop in Williamsburg, Virginia, founded in 2023 by Terrance Maigi after his bipolar diagnosis inspired him to create a safe space for mental wellness. The name “Anonymous” represents the millions of people who live with mental and chronic illnesses in silence — hiding their diagnoses from the world around them.
Inspired by a TED Talk that challenged him to turn his own struggles into something meaningful, Terrance set out to create Williamsburg’s first space dedicated to mental wellness — a place where the coffee is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm, and every person who walks through the door feels seen.

Since opening our doors in 2023, Anonymous Coffee has become Williamsburg’s first space explicitly dedicated to mental wellness. We serve European-style artisan coffees with unique flavor profiles, locally sourced pastries, and something you won’t find on any menu — a genuine sense of belonging.
